And now I have to figure out how to get all the cool things on it that everyone else has. I want the little diagrams that show what percentage of each project is completed. And photos of completed projects. And....
Today I bought a whole bunch of needles. I got a $75 gift certificate from my dad to my LYS for Hanukkah and I decided that, since the yarn there is way expensive, I would just buy the needles and get the yarn at elann.com or elsewhere. So here's what I bought:
- 3 sets dpn in sizes 4, 6 and 8
- 3 addi natura circular needles in sizes 3, 4, and 7 all 24"
- 1 medium wooden cable needle
I went in with a list of what I wanted because I had to bring DS and he is a menace in a yarn store. So I went in, grabbed the 7 items on my list, paid and got out of there. And still he got into trouble. Gah! At least I got what I went in there for. And now I can do the rest of my yarn shopping from the privacy of my computer chair.
As far as Hanukkah goes, DS is making out like a bandit and we have had nothing to do with it! SIL is in town and is spoiling him rotten. For example, for tonight's gift we got him a small gift of block crayons to add to his crayon basket. She got him a wooden tool bench and tool box. She has also gotten him a kid sized sleeping bag with air mattress, toy animals in a box, a stuffed monkey, a lion themed slippers and towel set, a new tzedakah box, a few other things that I can't remember and more presents so he will get another one each additional night. In addition to the presents the rest of the family has sent, plus the few things we got him, plus, of course, all of the stuff from his 3rd birthday a week and a half ago.
3 years old is really awesome though. DS is really getting it now. He loves lighting the menorah, playing dreidel, singing songs. He really enjoyed our once a year latkes last night and we'll have sufganiyot probably later this week. We're supposed to drive to LA to go to a bris tomorrow, but I really don't want to drive that far. Nor do I really want to attend a bris, but that's a different story.
